Van 9 tot en met 11 oktober 2026 vindt de allereerste editie van Dansdagen Tilburg plaats. Drie dagen lang staat dans centraal in de stad: op het podium, op straat, in de DansDome op het Stadsforum en in workshops en ontmoetingen door heel Tilburg. Het festival is een regio-editie van Nederlandse Dansdagen en wordt gepresenteerd door Tilburg Dansstad. Fontys Academy of the Arts is partner van Tilburg Dansstad.
Dansdagen Tilburg laat de energie en diversiteit van dans in Tilburg zien. Van klassiek tot hiphop, van gevestigde makers tot nieuw talent: het festival wil dans zichtbaar en voelbaar maken voor een zo breed mogelijk publiek – als kunstvorm, als sociale activiteit en als manier om elkaar te ontmoeten. Naast voorstellingen in de theaterzalen is er een uitgebreid programma in de openbare ruimte, met de DansDome als laagdrempelig hart van het festival waar bezoekers kunnen binnenlopen, kijken en meedoen.

Dansdagen Tilburg nodigt uit om mee te dansen. Het festival opent met een Guided Rave in de Concertzaal, waar iedereen uit de stad aan mee kan doen. Het hele weekend kan er zelf gedanst worden, in workshops bij onder meer Fontys en in de DansDome. Het festival verwacht circa 15.000 bezoekers, met programmering in theaterzalen, op alternatieve locaties, in de openbare ruimte en op scholen. Onderdeel van een landelijke beweging
Nederlandse Dansdagen (ND) is al bijna drie decennia hét festival voor dans in al haar vormen. Jaarlijks brengt ND in Maastricht makers, gezelschappen en publiek samen om de rijkdom van de Nederlandse dans te vieren. Met regio-edities als Dansdagen Tilburg zet ND een nieuwe stap: dans dichter bij het publiek brengen, in meerdere steden door het hele land.
Dansdagen Tilburg krijgt daarbij een eigen, lokale invulling. Het festival wordt gedragen door de partners van Tilburg Dansstad – DansBrabant, Factorium, Fontys Academy of the Arts en Schouwburg & Concertzaal Tilburg – in samenwerking met Theater De Nieuwe Vorst en De DansPunt. Samen bundelen zij hun netwerken van professionele makers, amateurdansers, opleidingen en publiek.

Tilburg Dansstad is een samenwerkingsverband van DansBrabant, Factorium, Fontys Academy of the Arts en Schouwburg & Concertzaal Tilburg, gericht op het versterken van de danssector en het danspubliek in Tilburg en de regio.

Dansdagen Tilburg showcases the energy and diversity of dance in Tilburg. Dansdagen Tilburg invites you to join in the dancing. The festival opens with a Guided Rave in the Concertzaal, which is open to everyone in the city. Part of a national movement
Nederlandse Dansdagen (ND) has been the leading festival for dance in all its forms for almost three decades. Every year, ND brings together creators, companies and audiences in Maastricht to celebrate the richness of Dutch dance. With regional editions such as Dansdagen Tilburg, ND is taking a new step: bringing dance closer to the public, in several cities across the country.
Dansdagen Tilburg will have its own, local identity. The festival is supported by the partners of Tilburg Dansstad – DansBrabant, Factorium, Fontys Academy of the Arts and Schouwburg & Concertzaal Tilburg – in collaboration with Theater De Nieuwe Vorst and De DansPunt. Together, they pool their networks of professional creators, amateur dancers, training programmes and audiences.

Tilburg Dansstad is a partnership between DansBrabant, Factorium, Fontys Academy of the Arts and Schouwburg & Concertzaal Tilburg, aimed at strengthening the dance sector and the dance audience in Tilburg and the wider region.
